Older Persons Legal Services’ Network Breakfast

Date: Tuesday 15th February

Time: 7:30am

Venue: Boardwalk Bistro, Wrest Point

Cost: $19.50 per person (pay on the day)

RSVP:  11th February to Rebecca Edwards

Do you work for a Community Legal Centre or Victoria Legal Aid in the fight against elder abuse?

Come and join your colleagues from around Australia at the Older Persons Legal Services’ Network breakfast. The network meets virtually on an approximately three monthly basis. However, the NEAC conference is a great opportunity to meet face to face with your colleagues in the field. We can network, share insights, collaborate and plan for the future of community and government-funded legal services within the elder abuse sector.

The breakfast will be an informal meeting of the network with the main focus on getting to know each other, discussing some of the recent developments in elder abuse, and to discuss any plans or ideas for the network’s activities for 2022. Please contact Rebecca Edwards or Gemma Misrachi with any questions or queries on redwards@seniorsrights.org.au or gemma.misrachi@legalaid.tas.gov.au

Satellite Events

Are you interested in hosting an event alongside the Walk the Talk conference?

Satellite events could be social or networking. EAAA will be creating an event for all the Elder Abuse Helplines in each state and territory. The details of all satellite events will be included in the program and promoted in conference communications.

Register your event here or email info@eaaa.org.au if you’d like further information.
