International delegates planning to visit Brisbane, Queensland, for the AELERT 2024 Global Summit will need to secure an appropriate visa. All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia (other than New Zealand passport holders who will normally be granted a Special Category visa on arrival). The specific visa required depends on your country of origin and the nature of your visit. 

We recommend delegates to allow 6 - 8 weeks processing time for their visa application, however please be aware timelines may be extended due to unforeseen circumstances. 

Letter of Invitation 

Additional supporting documents, such as an official letter of invitation from the summit organisers, may be necessary to support the visa application. This official letter confirms the delegate's participation in the summit and supports their visa application by providing key details such as event information, delegate role and contact details of the organisers. It helps substantiate the purpose of the visit, ensuring a smoother visa process. Delegates are advised to request their invitation letter well in advance to avoid delays.
