Laws that take us somewhere… good?
Abstract document
Phil has been working at the intersection of climate adaptation and biodiversity laws for more than a decade, during which time the Australian Government has tried far too many times to reform national environmental laws. State and Territory governments, on the other hand, have been getting on with things in some pretty interesting ways. Phil will talk about what biodiversity law is all about, some important ways that it has been getting better (even though there are lots of ways that it remains quite dreadful), and how we might all think differently about what law is even for.
