Uncovering the effects of prescribed burns on hollow logs
Abstract document
Hollow logs are an incredibly important resource for a huge range species. Yet they have largely been left out of scientific literature. They are at risk from many of the same threats to our forests; decreasing rainfall intensifying bushfires, changes to the fire regime and a lack of large habitat trees.
My research aims to rectify many of the gaps in our knowledge of these vital resources. In the hopes that we can improve the health of forests and better safe guard endangered species.
