Terms and Conditions 


Payment Policy

  • Full payment is required within seven days of the invoice date and must be received prior to the conference dates.  
  • We will accept mastercard, visa and American Express for online payments. A processing fee of 2% will apply to the registrations made with Mastercard and Visa and 3.5% for Amex.  
  • Late fees will apply to any outstanding invoices after the conclusion of the conference. 
  • If your payment is not received ahead of a particular deadline, the higher rate will then apply to the registrations. For example, to benefit from the early bird rates, your payment would need to be received by the early bird deadline, after this the higher fees will apply. 

Confirmation of Registration

  • Registrations will be acknowledged by email to the address nominated during the registration process. A tax invoice will be attached to this email. If you have not received confirmation within seven days please contact info@neac2019.com.au

Substitutions 

  • Attendees who are unable to attend the conference are welcome to nominate a substitute delegate up until and including 15 July 2019 at no extra cost. Please contact the event team at info@neac2019.com.au as soon as possible so that we can make arrangements for substitution.
  • Registrations cannot be shared - only one registration will be issued per delegate.

Group Registrations

  • NEAC 2019 offers a group discount to organisations that register four or more employees for the conference.  To qualify, all registrants in the group must be employed at the same organisation and be registered at the same time. 

Cancellation policy 

  • Conference registrations can be cancelled and a refund of registration fees less a cancellation administration fee of $200 will be made if written cancellation via info@neac2019.com.au is received by 28 June 2019.
  • If you would like to request a refund, please email info@neac2019.com.au. All refunds will be made within three to seven business days.  If you have not received a refund within that time period please contact us.
  • No refunds will be given for cancellations received after the 28 June 2019, however, exact substitutions will be possible up to 15 July 2019.
  • No refunds will be issued if you fail to attend.
  • Refunds from any deposits forwarded to hotels, tour companies or other related business will be at the discretion of the supplier.

Privacy Policy

  • We are concerned with the protection of your privacy. We acknowledge and abide by our obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) guidelines under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Nectar Creative Communications works with a registration software supplier that complies with Payment Card Industry (PCI) Level 1 Data Security Standards. All data provided is encrypted and transmitted via Secure Socket Layers (SSL) technology and it is hosted in a top-tier, world-class data centre. To view our policy, click here.
  • By registering for NEAC 2019, you will be automatically subscribed to receive updates about this and future elder abuse conferences. You can choose to opt out at anytime.

Social Functions

  • No refunds will be given for cancellation of additional social function tickets, however, exact substitutions will be possible up to seven days prior to the event.

Alterations to the Program, Cancellation or Postponement of the Conference/Event:


  • ADA Australia and Caxton Legal Centre as hosts of NEAC 2019 reserve the right to make alterations to the arrangements of the conference/event as published, either before or during the conference/event.
  • In the unlikely event of the conference/event being cancelled by ADA Australia and Caxton Legal Centre, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the registration fee paid by the delegate.
  • In the event of it being found necessary, for whatever reason, that the conference/event is being postponed or the dates being changed, ADA and Caxton Legal Centre shall not be liable for expenditure, damage or loss incurred by the delegate.

Speakers


  • Views expressed by the speakers are their own. ADA Australia and Caxton Legal Centre cannot accept liability for advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker at the conference/event or any material provided to delegates.

Insurance

  • In the event that a delegate is unable to attend the conference/event for any reason, ADA Australia and Caxton Legal Centre are not responsible for any costs incurred by the delegate. It is the responsibility of the delegate to arrange appropriate insurance cover in connection with their attendance at the conference/event.
  • ADA Australia and Caxton Legal Centre do not accept responsibility for any loss, costs, charges or fines incurred by delegates in the process of attending the conference.

Photography and Filming


  • For promotional purposes, there may be a media, professional photographer and video production taking place during the conference/event. Delegates who do not wish to be filmed or recorded should advise us via email at  info@neac2019.com.au

Accommodation

  • Accommodation bookings should be made at the time of registration to ensure you obtain accommodation at the property of your choice. Bookings must be made on the applicable section of the online registration form.
  • Delegates will be responsible for payment of their accommodation and all costs incurred during their stay upon check out at the hotel.  Payment will automatically be made using the credit card provided to secure the booking unless you advise the hotel on arrival and provide an alternative method of payment. 
  • Please view your selected hotel’s payment, pre-authorisation, cancellation and no show terms and conditions prior to booking your accommodation. 
  • Disclaimer: It is your responsibility to review the accommodation provider, the facilities and the terms and conditions in which the booking is offered. The conference sponsors do not accept any liability for any loss or damage that you might suffer due to unsatisfactory accommodation arrangements made by you. Please take care when assessing and booking accommodation arrangements.

Accommodation Cancellations and Amendments


Novotel Brisbane South Bank

Cancellation and No Show Policy 

Inclusive of total or partial cancellation. All cancellations will only be confirmed by written correspondence.

Between 59 and 30 days prior to arrival.

Should notice of cancellation be received by the hotel, a penalty fee equal to one (1) nights accommodation of the total value of each cancelled room is applicable. Where an invalid credit card has been provided, the reservation will be cancelled.

Between 29 and 0 days prior to arrival, non-arrival (No show).

Should notice of cancellation be received by the Hotel, a penalty fee equal to 100% of the total value of all cancelled rooms is applicable. In the event of a non-arrival or reduction in length of stay, a 100%  cancellation penalty equal to the total value of the accommodation is applicable. Where an invalid credit card has been provided, the reservation will be cancelled.

Pre-Authorisation on arrival  


The hotel requires a security pre-authorisation of $100.00 per room from a credit card or a $100.00 cash deposit per room, per night from all guests checking into the hotel. Upon check out, any unused portion of the cash will be refunded to the guest and credit card pre-authorisations returned to the credit card (may take up to five business days). 

Credit Card Fees

Use of a credit card for any portion of a payment or deposit will incur a payment processing fee of 2% against the full amount of the payment. The fee will be charged and invoiced at the time of payment. All overseas credit cards will be settled in the currency of the cards' origin and transaction fees may apply.

Cancellation and No Show Policy 

30 days prior to arrival: Cancellations made inside of 30 days prior to arrival will incur a fee equivalent to one (1) night accommodation.

14 days prior to arrival: Cancellations made inside of 14 days prior to arrival will incur a fee equivalent to the total amount of accommodation.

No Show: Any no show rooms will be charged for the duration of the booking to the credit card provided at the time of booking. 

Credit Card Fees 

Please note, if you elect to pay by credit card or other card using a credit payment facility, Rydges reserves the right to charge a payment processing fee in order to cover its associated administration costs. Payments made by mastercard, visa, American Express, Diners & JCB will incur a transaction fee of 1.08%.


Mantra Southbank

In the case of individual room cancellations made between 21/06/2019 and 05/07/2019, the following fee will apply:

If the booking is for three nights or less; one (1 nioght fee will be charged for each cancelled accommodation room. Or, if the booking is for four nights or more; two nights fee will be charged for each cancelled accommodation room.

No show guests are charged 100% cancellation fee for each no show accommodation room.
