The Postgraduate Day is a dedicated pre-conference event designed to support, connect, and empower postgraduate students in ecology and related fields. Held the day before the ESA Annual Conference officially begins, it offers a welcoming environment for students to meet peers, gain insights into academic and career pathways, and develop key skills through workshops, panels, and informal networking sessions. Whether you're just beginning your research journey or nearing the end of your degree, Postgraduate Day provides valuable opportunities to engage with mentors, explore collaborative possibilities, and prepare for a rewarding and enriching conference experience.  

The program is still being finalised, you can purchase a ticket now and we will advise once the program is released.  There will be opportunity to purchase tickets for the Postgraduate Day at a later date.

Holsworth Scholarship Alumni Drinks

Dr Bill Holsworth is a renowned ecologist, mammalogist, wildlife biologist and philanthropist. In 1989 Bill and his wife Carol established the Holsworth Wildlife Research Endowment to fund grants to universities for postgraduate students in fauna and flora.


This function is open to anyone who has received a Holsworth grant, supervisors of someone who has received a grant and anyone who has assessed applications

​The ESA 2025 Conference has secured discounted accommodation rates with a number of hotels in close proximity to the Adelaide Convention Centre. Conference Delegates can take advantage of these rates by booking accommodation from the options in the listings below.

You will not be charged for the accommodation at the time of registration. Hotels will use the credit card provided to secure and finalise bookings according to their payment policies. Terms and conditions for each hotel are available from the links in the listings below. If you wish to make payment with a different credit card, please let us know in advance by sending a written request to esa@nectarcc.com.au

You can add accommodation to your registration later but room blocks are limited so to avoid disappointment it's best to book now. Tick the No Accommodation Required checkbox to proceed to the next page of the form without accommodation.
