This course builds on Asset Management for Cemeteries and its Facilities and is designed to help move organisations towards industry best practices. The training is based upon the IPWEA asset management for Parks and Community Facilities, introductory course and IPWEA’s Practice Notes (a series of industry guidelines) and the International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM) and their application to cemetery asset management.

This full-day workshop is designed to support staff working in emotionally demanding roles within the cemeteries and crematoria sector. The morning session focuses on psychological wellbeing in the workplace, providing practical strategies, tools, and frameworks to build resilient, supportive teams in line with current obligations.
The afternoon session focuses on supporting grieving clients, equipping participants with the skills to communicate with empathy, understand grief responses, and provide appropriate support while maintaining professional boundaries and personal wellbeing.
Ideal for staff who regularly interact with grieving clients, including funeral directors, cemetery staff, customer service representatives, and client-facing team members.
